Atelier de couture artisanale
Marina Castagna's sewing workshop is located at an altitude of 1800m in the hamlet of Les Cours. Marina works with fabrics from around the world and mixes styles and materials. Her world is cheerful, colorful and offbeat; it brings a nice touch of freshness.
Marina passed her CAP in sewing and her Baccalaureate in Fashion Art and then her experiences multiplied: making swimsuits in the company "Banana Moon" on the Côte d'Azur, then furnishing for Legend'enhaut, making wedding dresses for Anne Guidet.... She likes to work with fabrics from around the world "My fabrics make me travel", they come from Indonesia and Africa: I like the beautiful wax (colorful print) delivered by a friend living in Africa and it's without an intermediary!
Above all, she loves the mix between very "French" couture and fabrics from all over the world. For her, fashion is never anything but a mix of ideas, of years, with V-necks, pleated skirts and new materials... The most original garment she has created: recycling Kinders: the capsule, the aluminum foil and the toys to create a feminine biker outfit... In the idea of "stopping waste!"
She loves challenges! She organized a fashion show with the skijorettes for the Queens of the Meije 2014, (presentation of transparent plastic skirts, denim skirts, terry towel backless dresses and two wedding outfits).
Marina has recently started using computer-assisted embroidery, which allows her to personalize certain items of clothing or accessories if the customer wishes, and to put her brand “Aniram” on all her clothes.
Her next project: creating unique clothes with an artist's design, the fabric and the model that the customer would have chosen.
Apart from her creations, Marina also devotes a lot of time to alterations and small jobs for her clients.
