The climbing schools of La Bérarde are spread over 5 sectors. The general climbing style is athletic on free granite often on slabs or cracks. The 5 sectors are far from each other, but the beauty of the Mecca of Mountaineering is a large compensation. The climbing sites are located in the protected area of the Écrins National Park and the Haut Vénéon nature reserve.
