Marcel will introduce you to the different stages of making a wooden subject: choice of theme and design, cutting, assembly and painting. You will learn to give soul to a subject by playing on shape, volume and expression.

Marcel GRESSE, a fretwork craftsman in Bourg d'Oisans, creates unique pieces all cut and sculpted in solid wood. He uses an ancestral method “Antarsia” whose art is to bring a subject to life.
He offers you this initiation as part of “the Oisans know-how route”. This route brings together all the artisans, artists, producers and cultural sites of Oisans who have agreed to open the doors of their workshop, farm or museum, to share their know-how with the public. The “Oisans know-how route” is an open door to the Uissan mountain culture, the richness of its heritage and its multiple know-how. As you travel along its roads you will discover varied landscapes and endearing personalities whose quality of work and flavor of products you will appreciate.
Possibility of demonstration service outside the workshop for groups. From half a day to a day.
