Embark on a little over 2 hours of guided walk to discover and understand the history of the glaciers of the Meije.
Come with the Horizons mountain office team to learn all about the evolution and exploitation of glaciers around various themes:

the history of the Meije
skiing and mountaineering
the construction of the cable car
Organization of sessions:
MORNING
Meet at 9:45 a.m. at 2400 m at the intermediate station (we will meet you outside the station / Montagne Horizons Office banner): Allow 20 minutes for the climb (tickets leave by 9:20 a.m. at the latest)
First part with themes on:
– History of tourism, of the Meije (mountaineering).
– The different types of visible glaciers
About 1h
Then climb to 3200 with the cable car cabins.
Second part
– Evolution and exploitation of glaciers
– Concept of climate
– History of the cable car and skiing
– 360° panorama

Dispersal around 12:45 p.m.
AFTERNOON
Meet at 13:45 p.m. at 3200 m at the arrival station (we will meet you outside the station / Montagne Horizons Office banner), Allow 45 minutes for the climb (tickets leave by 13:00 p.m. at the latest)
