Discover the history of the landscapes! Take part in a geological hike led by the Oisans Geology Center.
In Bourg d'Oisans, the verticality of the cliffs meets the plain of the valley floor, forming a landscape emblematic of our region. But how were these landscapes and rocks formed? Did you know that these landscapes contain a treasure in the form of an exceptional water reserve? That 18000 years ago, these landscapes were entirely covered in ice? That these landscapes are the result of a long evolution and are still evolving today? During this day hike led by a geologist, we will investigate the origins of our landscapes. At the end of the hike, the guide will invite you to a guided tour of the mineralogical exhibition at the GALTA museum.
