What happens when a young man, Franz, who has a lottery ticket, meets a peddler? Cunning and ready to do anything to earn his living, the peddler quickly succeeds in taking advantage of his client's weaknesses, especially when he tells him that he, Franz, has won the jackpot...
Franz and Grittly, engaged, have left their native Tyrol to go to Strasbourg to support Grittly's sister whose husband died at sea on her way back from America. During a stop in Germany where they are having lunch, nostalgic for their mountains, a peddler shows up.
Franz is immediately drawn to the trinkets the peddler is selling: there are so many things! But the young man is too poor. If only the lottery ticket he bought in Vienna was the right one… The peddler announces that he knows the results: number 66 has been drawn, the one Franz has!
Franz has become rich... unless it was just a peddler's trick...
In Oisans, the character of the peddler is very well known as it has been part of the customs for a long time. Vincent Cipriani's production will propose, for one evening, to revive this very singular figure that is that of the peddler.
