Conférence : Champignons, usages, culture et territoire
21July2025
With Carole Chauvin Payan, researcher in language sciences and mediation manager at GIPSA-Lab.
Since the Neolithic period, mushrooms have been perceived, used and consumed differently depending on peoples, cultures and territories.
In recent years, a certain mycological interest has been manifested in the scientific literature presenting the transformations relating to traditional knowledge, gathering and consumption practices, trade and existing popular beliefs regarding wild mushrooms.
For this conference, we invite you on a journey through space and time, during which we will present the regional and dialectal names, domestic and medicinal uses, and popular beliefs associated with wild mushrooms from Europe and Siberia.
