Exposition "À la découverte des Mines de l'Oisans"
01January31December2025
Come and discover the Oisans Mines exhibition.
Located in the heart of the Eau d'Olle Valley, OZ en OISANS ranges from 800 to 1350 m above sea level between Belledonne and the Grandes Rousses.
Since the 80s, archaeological surveys have been carried out in the Rousses massif in order to locate, date and analyse the activity of the old mining sites.
Among the sites discovered are lead, copper and silver mines exploited from protohistory to modern times.
The remains of a major exploitation were spotted about twenty years ago above the Lac du Milieu. The disappearance of the ice and snowfields that obstructed the construction sites made it possible to study them.
This exhibition invites you to discover the results of this research.
