A comic book author for forty years, also a painter and sculptor, Jean-Marc Rochette, born in Baden-Baden in 1956, spent his childhood in Grenoble and grew up in the Vénéon valley.
His dream of pursuing a career as a mountain guide was cut short by a tragic accident that he recounts for the first time in Ailefroide and includes in La Dernière Reine, a graphic novel combining love and art stories published by Casterman in October 2022, and which is currently being adapted for film.
In the Heart of Winter is his first novel.
