The long-awaited Grand Competition has finally arrived! Inaugurated in the presence of Aquatics officials and the mascot "Géraldine the Mermaid," the opening ceremony of the World Championship is in full swing: a multitude of flags of all nationalities rise from the audience, fireworks flood the competition venue while athletes from all over the planet parade, proud to finally be able to compete in this renowned championship! The tournament can begin. The events and high-level athletes follow one another, each one crazier than the last: Dryland kayaking, a freediving record attempt in an aquarium, synchronized swimming, and even artistic team slide. Each event is an opportunity to discover sports disciplines unknown to the general public, as well as the "champions" of these categories. Through this project, we will talk about sport, competition, and sportsmanship. The angle addressed will be parody, pastiche, and discrepancy, but not only. We will talk about sport, but in our own way, that is, by revisiting this sporting spirit with a value that is dear to us: self-mockery. Ridicule is a philosophy that could appear salutary in our world, which only considers competition with the utmost seriousness.
