AS FAR AS THE SIGHT CAN BE SEEN
Directed by Carla and Pierre PETIT in 2024 – 52'
Carla embarks on an initiatory journey on horseback across the Kyrgyz steppes. An extraordinary adventure, especially since the young rider is visually impaired.

Accompanied by her father Pierre, a cinematographer and director, she embarks on a demanding journey between steppes and passes at over 4 meters above sea level. Willing and curious, she discovers the country and meets the nomadic people. Pierre films Carla's journey and serves as his daughter's eyes; he describes the scenes she cannot see, warns her of dangers, and encourages her. Carla gives her father advice on horseback riding and tries to share with him her unique relationship with animals, energies, and the elements. The unique and close bond that has grown between them over the past 000 years is gradually revealed. Carla discovers the world of her father, who is passionate about images and travel. Pierre seeks to capture his daughter's universe. He knows that after this journey together, he will have to let her fly towards her adult life.
