Show "Glaciers on Vacation" by Laurence Druon. A philosophical and educational tale about melting ice.
This is the story of an Alpine glacier who, seeing the end of his life approaching, dreamed of going on the first trip of his life – to Antarctica – to see the largest and oldest glacier in the world. But how can you make such a trip when you're afraid of the heat? Which way to go? He promises he won't take a plane, because planes melt glaciers! An educational and philosophical tale, at once serious, light, naive and poetic, which talks about climate change, the Anthropocene, the meaning of life on Earth and the future of Humanity – without making people feel guilty or overly sentimental, and by involving the audience.
