Tattoo Convention

If you have a specific artist/project in mind:
Contact the tattoo artist via email/phone.
Ask if they take appointments in advance for the convention or if it's first come, first served.
Explain your project, send references if you have any, don't be offended if an artist refuses your project.
Some artists prefer not to start a project that is too big/complicated at a convention.
You may need to send a deposit, especially if the artist is to draw for you.
This deposit will also secure your appointment during the weekend.
You may see your drawing before the convention, but chances are you won't see it until the meeting.
This gives the artist time to make changes.
If you don't have a project or artist in mind

Look at the portfolios, talk to the artists, get inspired by each one's talent.
Don't miss the chance to get tattooed by artists you wouldn't otherwise meet.
