The Ultra Raid of La Meije is undoubtedly the most aesthetic mountain bike raid in Europe:
Facing the Queen Meije, between high-altitude lakes where glaciers are reflected, golden meadows of the Emparis plateau, the magic of Galiber in the dawn with the Lautaret below, fun descents on winding singles or even breathtaking climbs, the URLM offers you an unforgettable adventure.
Because not all participants are champions or ultra enthusiasts, the URLM offers options accessible to less experienced mountain bikers and the hardest part is perhaps choosing your event!
One thing is certain: if you experience the Ultra Raid of La Meije, you will only feel one desire… To come back!
Several challenges are offered to you to discover the trails of the Pays de la Meije.
NEW FOR 2025: AN e-MTB EVENT
A new event is created in 2025: a timed race of electric mountain bikes of 52 km and 2400 m D+. The organization will allow all participants (MTBs and muscle-powered mountain bikes) to coexist without disturbing each other with a departure of the VTTAE 20 minutes before the other events on Sunday as well as a junction between the different events on a wide track which will allow competitors to overtake each other without disturbing each other.

– ELITE ULTRA: 117 km and 5300 m D+
– ELITE ULTRA +: 117 km and 5300 m D+, but possibility of completing the raid in 2 days (for those who are not sure of finishing in 1 day): 73 km and 3300 m D+ / 52 km and 2400 m D+
– ULTRA 2 DAY RAID: 73 km and 3300 m D+ / 52 km and 2400 m D+
– RAID ULTRA SATURDAY: 73 km and 3300 m D+
– RAID ULTRA SUNDAY: 52 km and 2400 m D+
UNTIMED EVENTS
– 2-DAY ULTRA HIKE: choice on Saturday: 73 km, 58 km or 48 km / choice on Sunday: 50 km, 40 km, 36 km or 31 km
– GALIBIER LES CERCES HIKE 73 KM
– GALIBIER LES CERCES HIKE 58 KM
– GALIBIER LES CERCES HIKE 48 KM
– PLATEAU D’EMPARIS HIKE 50 KM
