Visit the village mill, a true eco-museum of the life of the Faranchins. It is a long, solid building dating from the beginning of the 18th century. You will see tools and objects that bear witness to the past.
Since 2017 it has belonged to the municipality of Villar d'Arène, the mill is located on the road to Arsine, on the banks of the Romanche. It was used to grind grain and still has paddle wheels, stone millstones, an old miller's kitchen and agricultural tools. Stopped since 1958 and restored with passion by its former owner Mr. Maurice Mathonnet, the mill is decorated with an extraordinary quantity of tools and objects that were used in local life. It is a beautiful visit to make in addition to that of the oven.
