07June31August2025
At an altitude of 2100m, facing the glaciers of the Meije, more than 2000 species of flowers from the Alps and mountains of the world are gathered in one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe. Tours and activities are organized from June to August.
The Lautaret garden is one of the most beautiful in Europe!
Discover in an incredible setting, 2 species of high-altitude plants, presented by geographical origin, habitats, botanical classification and medicinal, toxic or nutritional properties. Each step takes you to a new continent, in a botanical and dreamlike world tour. Walk between waterways, pontoons, ponds, reconstructed environments, natural meadows, historic chalet, century-old trees, bird kiosk... All perched at an altitude of 000 meters facing the glaciers of the Meije...
In addition to guided tours of the garden, many activities are scheduled throughout the summer. Open-air concerts, storytelling walks, botanical watercolor courses, workshops, meetings, conferences, behind-the-scenes scientific tours, etc.
The Lautaret garden is a major place of science. Let yourself be told this story in the museum space and by following the “discovery and science” signs scattered throughout the garden.
