Effective sorting within the station's offices and workshops
With a view to reducing the environmental and financial impact of waste, the Régie des Ordures Ménagères is pleased to experiment with two new outlets: Separate collection of skis and plastic films.
Below you will find useful information about these outlets:
Ø SKIS: Equipment concerned: Skis, snowboards and ski poles (PLEASE NOTE: shoes and helmets are not concerned).
Price: previously billed mainly as bulky items, these deposits will initially be FREE with registered professionals (PLEASE NOTE, deposits can only be made by professionals REGISTERED for the recycling center service).
Treatment: Energy recovery and material recycling (metal parts).
Collection points: at the recycling center: Fontchristianne (BRIANCON), La Guisane (LE MONETIER LES BAINS), Clos Jouffrey (ST CHAFFREY), La Clarée (VAL DES PRES) Opening times and dates “More Info” tab of this site; downloadable document.
Ø PLASTIC FILMS: Material concerned: Pallet films (HDPE), thick covers (LDPE), tarpaulins. Household films are also concerned: non-woven flexible films (PE, type around milk packs, all wood pellet and potting soil packaging).
Price: previously billed mainly as bulky items, these deposits will be FREE with registered professionals (PLEASE NOTE, deposits can only be made by professionals REGISTERED for the recycling center service).
Treatment: Material recycling
Collection locations: at recycling centers equipped with a compaction station for cardboard (Fontchristianne, Clos Jouffrey and La Guisane); experimentation with door-to-door collection (with cardboard) from a few professionals equipped with balers compatible with this type of material.
These channels are in the testing phase. Depending on the results obtained, adjustments to the level of support may be made.
