Vannerie de la Meije

Osier is actually cultivated willow (salix). There are about a hundred varieties, some of which are renowned for their basket-making qualities.
It can be worked in white (= peeled), raw or green (= cut and braided) especially used in plant architecture.

My creations: between Tradition and Creation:
Round, oval or wooden baskets; Earrings; Fishing baskets; Bird feeders; Handbags; Baskets for our animal friends…
Starting from a traditional form, I like to mix raw and white, highlighting one or/and the other.

Find me at the Producers and Artisans market in the Moulin garden on Sunday mornings in July, August and September, with the Courts Circuits Association.

And if you have a broken basket, I can perhaps repair it for you: broken handle, edge, basket feet... as far as possible of course.
