Alpe d'Huez, la montée discrète
This easy route rises slowly above the plain ofAllemond and Lake Verney. On the "Pas de la Confession" road, which connects Villard Reculas to Huez, the panoramic view of the Bourg d'Oisans plain is superb.

ROUTE
From Bourg d'Oisans, take the D1091 towards Grenoble.
In Rochetaillée, turn right onto the D526 towards Allemond.
After the “Pont Rouge”, turn right onto the D44 towards Villard Reculas.
The road rises gently, crosses the hamlets of Raffour and Beurrière at a regular pace until Villard Reculas.
Cross Villard Reculas. Reach Huez by taking the “Pas de la Confession” road, narrow and spectacular.
Cross Huez to return to the 21 bends of the famous climb of Alpe d'Huez at turn 6.
Return via the descent of Alpe d'Huez to Bourg d'Oisans.
