This route takes you along the beautiful and wild roads of the Ferrand Valley. The first part provides a good warm-up before the daunting climb of the col de SarenneOn your way, you will come across more sheep than cars!

ROUTE
From Bourg d'Oisans, take the direction of Briançon by the D1091 until the Chambon dam. You will cross 4 illuminated tunnels on this section, for your safety, make sure you are visible.
Cross the dam and 200 m later go up to the left towards Mizoën. Continue the road (D25 then D25a) to Clavans-le-Haut and the col de Sarenne.
At the pass, you are at the top of your route: 1999 m. You can take a break at the refuge du Col de Sarenne, then all you have to do is let yourself go to Alpe d'Huez by following the tarmac road.
When you arrive at the Bergers district, turn left at the Europe roundabout to return to Bourg d'Oisans. Or, to return to the center of the resort and go down from bend no. 1... continue straight on.

THE LITTLE EXTRA: Besse in Oisans
You can add to this route the climb of Besse in Oisans. The village is listed and well worth the detour!
At the exit of the village, don't miss the artisanal bakery known in the region for its breads baked over a wood fire.
