Arête des Fréaux – Ecole d'alpinisme des Écrins
A beautiful mountain ridge in 3 parts: mountain ridge, short easy lengths such as long routes and via cordata.
The Fréaux ridge is a small rocky route, equipped as part of the Mountaineering Villages, of intermediate level.
Elevation gain: Approximately 200m.
There: 15 min.
Return: Chazelet or via the Vire des Moutons and abseiling then red marked path and return to the starting point.

8 quickdraws / 3 straps / 50 m rope.
Climb up the access path to the Fréaux climbing school to the marmotte sector (possible attack via the eponymous pillar, in 3 short lengths of 3+.
At the ledge at the top, turn right then follow the left side along the grassy slope to the start of the route.
Or go around the Croquignol sector via the access path and follow the red markings to the foot of the left ridge.
