Very beautiful hike that takes you into the Sarenne gorges and on the slopes of the Signal de l'Homme. You will also pass by the very charming hamlet of Rosai which is worth a look.

ROUTE
At the entrance to the resort, take the path that climbs towards the Col de Maronne. Once you reach the top, you will need to descend towards La Garde, then the Col de Sarenne.
You will arrive at the mountain hamlet of Rosay, then cross the Sarenne by the Roman bridge 1 km further on. Continue towards Col de Sarenne on a pretty, gently sloping path that runs alongside the eponymous torrent.
At Gua, take the path that goes up to the Col de Cluy. Then follow the direction of the Col de Maronne to go around the Signal de l'Homme (Aurienchon summit). This path is easy and easy for 2,5 km. Its little extra: the panoramic discovery of the Belledonne, Taillefer and Écrins massifs as you progress.
At the Col de Maronne, return downhill to the resort ofAuris-en-Oisans, with a view of the 2 Alpes glacier.

TO SEE ON THE COURSE
– The hamlet of Rosay has a mountain charm with its stone houses typical of Oisans and also for its chapel of the Holy Trinity dating from the 15th century.
– The Roman bridge, is aptly named since it marks the passage of an ancient “Roman road”, which allowed Grenoble to be connected to Italy by the Col du Lautaret and the Romanche valley.
– The old Sarenne mill, on the banks of the torrent of the same name, with its remains and explanatory panels.

Discover the botanical garden on trail 252, towards the Col de Sarenne.

TO KNOW
La Sarenne, “the longest black run in the world”. In fact, the path you take is the end of this legendary ski run in winter.

Dogs must be kept on a leash due to the presence of herding dogs at certain times of the year.
