Short hike which passes partly through a magnificent forest and a small charming hamlet.
Cross the highest spruce forest in Europe and enjoy a walk ideal for a picnic, with a breathtaking view of Oisans. You will discover the Aurienchon heritage by crossing the hamlets.

ROUTE
From the tourist office, follow the direction of Plancet displayed on the directional signs. The downhill trail will start a few hundred meters away. It will take you for 2 km into the highest spruce forest in Europe. When you arrive in Plancet, you will leave the forest to descend a little further, towards Les Certs. You will then cross this pretty, typically mountainous hamlet to take the trail that will take you up to the resort. Part of this climb will be in the forest again, in the shade of the spruces.

TO SEE ON THE COURSE
In the hamlet of Certs, wander through the narrow streets in search of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste chapel, whose wooden bell tower makes it special.

Auris and its 9 traditional hamlets including the hamlet of Cours which houses a chapel, a rural museum and a few sundials, signs of plenty of sunshine.

TO KNOW
Located near the Roman road which linked Turin to Vienna via Susa, the Montgenèvre pass, Briançon, the Lautaret pass and Grenoble, Auris-en-Oisans was to be served by a secondary road much more sunny than the main road which passes through Mont de Lans.



Dogs must be kept on a leash due to the presence of herding dogs at certain times of the year.
