This extended vertical kilometer (1455m of positive elevation gain over a distance of 7.4 km) will allow you to train to increase your capacity for long hill efforts and your Ascent Speed, while enjoying exceptional landscapes? You start by climbing the "Cheminée", a path which was until 1895 the one and only artery to access the village of Auris. Once you arrive at La Balme, a second climb awaits you: the one which will take you to the Signal de l'Homme (at an altitude of 2176 m), from where you can admire the entire Oisans massif, including the Massif des Ecrins, the MeijeEtc. ...

4 departures are possible:
* At the bottom of the route in the Romanche gorge at the bridge, Altitude 775m, for 1455m+ in total.
* At the place called La Balme, from where you have 1000m+ to go to reach the summit of Signal de l'Homme.
* At the Auris station, from where you have 630m+ left to reach the summit.
* A fourth possibility is to start from the bottom of the route to the Auris en Oisans station for 825m+.
