An easy and very pleasant little walk with pretty viewpoints overlooking the valley in the heart of Mediterranean-type vegetation. Not to be missed: a visit to the village and its artisans before or after.
This walk should be combined with a visit to the village of VenoscPark at the entrance to the village and stroll leisurely through the cobbled streets, the calades. You will be charmed by the old village houses and the charming artisan shops nestled in an authentic setting.

Elevation: 161 m
Loop duration: 1h30
Distance: 2,3 km

ROUTE
From the car park, go past the town hall and continue straight to the end of Rue du Câble. On the left, go down the road for 30 m and take the path that goes up to Ferraret (sign). We advise you to put on snowshoes from this point on.
If you are parked in the cable car park, go to the hamlet of Ballatin, the first small hamlet that you pass through going up to the left of the cable car, towards the centre of the village. Follow the sign “la Ville l'église” (tarmac road). Follow this road for about 200 m, the path goes off on your left with a sign 'le Ferraret'.
Then the path crosses a meadow before plunging into the cool undergrowth. A small bridge spans the valley and the route climbs gently up to Ferraret.
Once at the ruins of Ferraret, follow the direction of “la Ville” (or “Collet” then “la Ville”).
Then go back down to the center of Venosc where you can get lost in the alleys until you reach the parking lot.

TO KNOW
You will then cross some pastures before arriving in an oak wood. This path in the undergrowth is very pleasant, and in the summer the lilies in bloom give it a magical side! You will be able to discover the charcoal burner.
