A pretty loop through the mountain pastures and forest to discover different villages in the Lignarre valley with beautiful panoramas.

ROUTE
After parking in the village ofOrnon, take the direction of the Terres Froides Parking. The path starts in the village, passes next to the Church and continues on a path towards the Parking.

When you arrive at the Terres Froides car park, take a track for 700m to Airette.

From Airette, head towards La Buffe. The path climbs steeply through the mountain pasture with a superb view on one side of Taillefer and on the other of Col d’Ornon, Villard Reymond.

Arriving at La Buffe, head towards Combe du Collet. Superb view during the descent over the village ofOulles with the Grandes Rousses in the background and on the other side the Meije.

Arriving at Combe du Collet, you can decide to take a detour via the village ofOulles (30 min return, 2 km return extra from Combe du Collet).

Otherwise continue towards Puy d'Oulles where you take the forest path to there.
You will be able to observe slate houses now in ruins since the hamlet has been deserted as it is not accessible by road.

From this point, begin a steep descent with quite a few drops next to it, still in the forest, to Clot de Barme.

From Clot de Barme, take the direction of La Palud. You have to walk on the road to get there (10min).

From La Palud, last climb to return to Ornon.

Hiking in pastoral areas, possible presence of herds and guard dogs.
In the Alpine pastures, I adapt my behavior: keep my dog ​​on a leash, close the fences, do not touch the water points, go around the herds at a good distance to respect the work of the shepherds and the needs of the herds.
