Col de Maronne – n°4 – Bleu
This magnificent course of 22 kilometers and 1000 meters of altitude difference is located entirely in the Grandes Rousses massif. It allows you to tackle longer routes.

ROUTE
Take a left when leaving the Tourist Office towards Huez then the first left, the church alley. You then cross the historic village of Villard Reculas. The first climb takes you towards the Pierre Ronde, then towards Lachal by the path above the road.
You join the road to pass the famous Pas de la Confession where you admire the magnificent view of Bourg d'Oisans and the peaks of Oisans. You join Huez by the oratory path then head towards the Sarenne gorges and the Roman Bridge. The climb then towards Maronne allows you to admire Huez from opposite. You cross the mountain pastures to arrive at the Col de Maronne just above the Auris en Oisans resort. Head to the left for a spectacular but very short climb.
You then arrive at Cluy where a stop at the small church is highly recommended. The Col de Cluy allows you to find the Sarenne gorges which you leave via the Col de la Pierre Ronde. You will reach Alpe d'Huez via Brandes. Then the return to Villard Reculas is via the panoramic path which bears its name so well.
