The climb to the col de Sarenne between the Grandes Rousses massif and the Emparis plateau is a sumptuous route.
Le Col de Sarenne – 1999 m – is a pass that has remained confidential despite the passage of the Tour de France in 2013 (via the short climb from Alpe d'Huez) on the occasion of the 18th stage. Surprisingly, it is also one of the most beautiful with a pastoral, quiet road, almost free of any traffic and crossing a protected natural area.
