Coteyssart

Allemond
It is one of the most accessible paths in the Belledonne massif. The climb by road is leisurely and the descent, very rhythmic, provides great driving sensations. With a proven technique, everything goes smoothly.

ROUTE
> From the Lac du Verney car park, retrace your steps a little and take a very small path going up on the right to reach the road toAllemond-le-Haut. Turn right and follow this road towards the church, then towards La Rivoire, Le Clot and La Traverse. The road is little used and can be climbed quite easily in 1 hour to the chalets of Coteyssart (1304 m). The panorama over the Bourg-d'Oisans plain and the Grandes Rousses massif make this road go by like a letter through the post.
> Arriving at the chalets, the descent from Coteyssart goes off to the right, a sign indicates “ Allemond via the Combe”. On the program, a pleasant series of hairpin bends with even a few natural banked turns. A fun and varied path.
> At La Combe, cross the road and go down the path opposite towards Le Villaret (GR 549). This short stretch of path passes between gardens and homes (be careful of local residents). At the end of this small, sloping path, you arrive on the road (D43). Turn left for 150 m and dip to the right to join the path which goes down to Lac du Verney.
> The return is made on the right along the lake to the car park.
> This single is not too high and on a rather sunny slope. It is therefore one of the first (and last) passable paths in Oisans.
