Crête de l'Aiguillon
Discover the joys of winter hiking through one of the two marked trails for ski touring and snowshoeing, starting from Villar d'Arène. This will take you to the Aiguillon viewpoint at an altitude of 2095m.
The route offers you very beautiful views of the Écrins massif, from Agneaux to the Meije, as well as on the upper Romanche valley, from the cliffs of the Emparis plateau to the Lautaret pass.
This route is level 2 and quite technical on snowshoes.
With free access, you are moving in an uncertain natural environment: the route is marked with orange markers, but not secured. You will therefore be in total autonomy under your own responsibility. Make sure you leave equipped with a DVA, a shovel and a probe and having knowledge of the weather, snow conditions and avalanche risk. You will find a DVA checkpoint at the start of the routes.
The route is open or closed depending on snow conditions on the advice of a committee of local experts. For your safety, respect this notice.
