De La Grave au Lac du Verney par les balcons de l'Oisans en vélo de route
Discover the balconies of Oisans via Lake Verney by road bike. An emotional day combining sporting exploits and high mountain landscapes.
At the exit of the cable car park, turn left towards Grenoble for about 15 km. During these 15 km, be careful when crossing the Grand Clos and Chambon tunnels, which are poorly lit, remember to make yourself visible to other vehicles.
Continue towards Freney-d'Oisans after passing the Chambon dam.
At Freney-d'Oisans, take the D211a road on the right, after the petrol station, towards Auris-sur-Oisans, for around 6 km. Follow the road to the hamlet of La Balme.
Continue on the D211a road, called the “route de la Roche”, towards La Garde en Oisans. This narrow road is punctuated by 3 tunnels, cut into the side of the cliff.
In La Garde en Oisans, turn right at the crossroads at the church, towards Alpe d'Huez.
In Huez, take Avenue du Moulin (D211C) towards Villard-Reculas. In Villard-Reculas, continue on the D44, at the crossroads with the road to the Oz-en-Oisans resort, turn left and go back down to Lake Verney to join the D 526 towards Rivier d'Allemond - col de la Croix de Fer.
At the exit of Le Vernet, continue straight for about 1,5 km on the D 526 then turn left to reach the hamlet of Mollard. Cross the hamlet and join the D526. Turn right and head towardsAllemond by the D43.
Pass the church and go back down to the crossroads with the D1091, turn left towards Bourg d'Oisans.
At the entrance to Bourg d'Oisans, continue straight at the roundabout to enter the city center. From the city center, near the Carrefour Express on your left, continue on the main road which makes a slight bend to the left, towards Briançon and continue straight until you leave the town.
After taking the bridge over the Romanche, take the first right at the roundabout towards Briançon and continue straight on.
At the end of the straight line, take the turn on the left then go up the Romanche valley on the D1091 until returning to La Grave.
