The area is perfect for exploring a very different range of routes. From steep walls on crispettes to magnificent granite slabs, this area with its panoramic view of the Meije and Rake will be pleasant to climb even in hot weather.

The Bureau des Guides de la Grave has published a climbing guide with photos and sketches, along with descriptions of school cliffs, major routes, boulders and dry tooling.
Distribution of sectors: Galibier pass, Arsine, La Grave, Chazelet, Fréaux, Bourg d'Oisans.
On sale at the Guides Office and at the tourist office of La Grave.

There is no equipment rental on site but you can rent it if necessary from the sports shops in Villar d'Arène or La Grave.
The Guides Office located at La Grave on the cable car square, offers support for beginners in climbing.

Location details

Since La Grave, go to the Terraces. Continue on the D33 towards Le Chazelet. Park in the car park near the path that leads you to the bridge crossing the Gâ torrent.

Please note: It is forbidden to park in the Signal chairlift car park; do not use the bridge by car.
