This starting point for freerando is located on the domain of La Grave :
“Unique”: one word is enough to describe La GraveA cable car and everywhere around the mountain, the queen Meije, glaciers: the big league. Their slogan? A marked trail, the rest to be imagined... so for freerando, there's nothing better than this unique area where with a flick of the "cable car wand" you climb to 3200 m and the rest is to be created... Descend to better come back up, discover, traverse: it's up to you to ski!

– Rake Tower or “the Enfetchores”
Magnificent, technical and legendary free rando tour: the first breach to pass is that of Lauze (3512 m), to descend then pass the second breach, that of Râteau (3235 m). Magnificent descent into the Etançons valley to then reach the Brèche de la Meije (3357 m) for an anthology finale up to La Grave by the Enfetchores (2989 m).
– Tower of the Meije
More than a route, the tour of the Meije is a journey. Thanks to the cable car, you can consider the tour of the Meije in 2 days free hiking (descend more to climb less…). + 1200 m.
Day 1: pass the Brèche du Râteau (3235 m) and descend to the Refuge du Châtelleret (2225 m)
Day 2: Go back up to the Refuge du Promontoire (3092 m) and + 700 m to pass the Brèche de la Meije (3357 m), cross to the Aigle refuge (3450 m) and descend the Tabuchet glacier to La Grave.
– The Valley of the Étançons
From the top of the Girose ski lift (3560m) you are already in the high mountains and depending on your desires, your level and the weather you can head up the Girose pass (3514m) for lovers of steep slopes, or the Lauze pass (3512m) and then go back up towards the Brèche du Replat (3335m) and reach the beautiful village of Bérarde (1720m) in the Vénéon valley (car shuttle).
