La balade du Bourg (Circuit n°1)

Follow the route, stroll around while discovering the capital of Oisans and mountain culture...

On foot, head towards the church on the road to Villard-Notre-Dame, the Minerals Museum is located right next to the church. Be aware that anyone who has visited Oisans but has not seen the Minerals and Fauna of the Alps Museum... has seen nothing! Exaggeration? No way! You will be forced to admit it!
The richness of the collections will leave you speechless: extinct or rare animals, all are there in a particularly lively exhibition.
Lovers of Alpine minerals, you will be delighted: the museum has the most beautiful pieces in the world of breathtaking quality! In summer, the museum and the geology center organize free guided tours as well as supervised outings. Find out more at the museum.

On your way out, stop at Atelier 45 Ceramic to discover Stéphane's enameled stoneware creations (dishes and ornamental production) or take part in a turning or garnishing demonstration.

Your path then winds towards the center to rue Gambetta to discover the Maison du Parc national des Écrins: an open space, rich in information and documentation on the Parc des Écrins, the life of the inhabitants of Oisans , fauna, flora... You can meet park rangers there, or take part in guided discovery outings. An unmissable place for all those curious and gourmets about mountain life.

Head towards the centre of the village, taking a left then a right when leaving the Maison du Parc and stroll through the pedestrian streets, which are always very lively. You can stop at the “La Bicicletta” workshop.
Laurent Amettler, cycle specialist, will take you back in time. He will welcome you into his workshop filled with old bikes to show you the different stages of restoration, from purchase to customization.

A little further along the streets of Bourg-d'Oisans, also discover Formes et Passion, a fretwork workshop run by Marcel who will present his expertise to you.
