Vaujany

La boucle de l'Eau d'Olle (Circuit n°4)

This beautiful valley stretches under the protective shadow of the Belledonne massif. It provides access to Savoie via the passes of Glandon and Croix de Fer.
Departing from Bourg d'Oisans, this circuit is approximately 56 km round trip.

Head to Vaujany, which will be the end of this walk through the Eau d'Olle. This pretty village, which has retained its old-world charm, is today a ski resort with very efficient infrastructure.

Along the way, stop at ↘la Bergerie du Pays to discover their collection of colorful 100% Merino wool and the fascinating history of wool transformation. You can also buy lamb meat.

Take a break in the village to discover the ↘Maison de la Faune and the Heritage Area. The Maison de la Faune is a little wonder for budding naturalists. Interactive terminals and games will make you feel like you're on the prowl...almost for real. You will be able to admire stuffed chamois, grouse roosters and marmots as well as a
rich collection of butterflies from the region. ↘The Heritage Space, meanwhile, retraces 100 years of the history of Vaujany, told by its inhabitants.

The cable car, departing from the village, will propel you to 2 m to get a closer look at the sky. You can then enjoy the joys of the swimming pool, its giant slide and the new Spa de la Fare at the ↘Sports and Leisure Center. Then let yourself be enchanted by the fresh air and the roar of the Fare waterfall from the pool terrace. A true life-size bliss. And if you still have some energy left, come and try skating on the magnificent ↘international-sized ice rink of Vaujany, or come and share a little game of ↘bowling.

Then you can push your visit to ↘col du Sabot. This pass was once the access route to Savoie. Today it is a pastoral track, passable only in dry weather, to be used with caution. To reach this pass and its viewpoint, cross the hamlet of La Villette, at the exit of Vaujany.

You can also head towards Oz-en-Oisans to stop off in the village, one of its hamlets or its resort. Discover the ↘Forest leisure park and its paintball, which offers several acrobatic courses in the trees including a zip line. Accessible from 2 years old.

And for lovers of relaxation, the terrace of the ↘Les Cristaux swimming pool offers a breathtaking view of the Belledonne massif. The indoor indoor swimming pool includes a balneo-play area, sauna and hammam.
