La Boucle du Plan de l'Alpe

From the Gravière car park, follow the bottom of the valley on the right bank along an excellent path that crosses the Pas d'Anna Falque. The fork that divides the route between the Alpe and Adèle Planchard refuges is well signposted. Take the path that climbs to the left, crossing the crevasses path near the weather station. Shortly after, leave the GR 54 and turn right and continue straight ahead to the Alpe de refuge. Villar-d'Arêne. Go around the refuge on the right and go down to a crossroads overlooking the Romanche. Turn right to go back down to the Plan de l'Alpe and pass several streams in succession until you reach the path taken on the way out. Take the path slightly to the left which crosses the Pas d'Anna Falque to return to the car park.
