La croix du Carrelet randonnée au départ de Villard-Reymond
First of all you will take a short tour of Villard-Reymond its charm is so irresistible. The path winds through the pine and larch forest then across the balcony into the mountain pastures before reaching the Croix du Carrelet.

ITINERARY :
This is an easy hike, high up, which presents a complete portrait of Oisans: forest, mountain pastures, ridges and breathtaking views! The panoramas follow one after the other: on the Grand Renaud from Villard-Reymond, over the Romanche valley and the Grandes Rousses massif from the Col du Solude and over the Ecrins massif and the lower Vénéon valley from the Carrelet cross. Magnificent, we tell you!
Park at the entrance of Villard-Reymond then start by strolling through the village, among the old farms, renovated or still in their original state. Reach the Col du Solude by following the track at the exit of the village. You are at the top of the Prégentil cliff which overlooks Bourg-d'Oisans… The path starts on the right and climbs through the forest to the “Maisons du Loup”, a small shady corner at the intersection of the paths. Continue on the path which goes opposite. At the next intersection continue on the same path towards Croix du Carrelet,
then follow the path on the left which ends with a small climb in switchbacks up to the cross.
Good to know: you can make a loop by going back down on Villard-Notre-Dame, to visit of course, and you can return to Villard-Reymond by the forest track which joins the Solude pass.
