La descente du col du Sabot
Magnificent from start to finish! Thanks to the landscapes crossed and the fun sections found all along: rolling mountain pastures, paths that wind between the old farms of the hamlets of Vaujany, passage through the forest… a real visit on 2 wheels!

ROUTE
> From col du Sabot, go down the road and immediately take the red and white marked path on the right which goes down towards the chalets of the Col d'En Bas through the mountain pastures. This section in the mountain pastures is quite rough until you reach the road.
> We cross the road for the first time col du Sabot. Take the opposite path along a fairly wide track that goes very quickly. Watch out for the herds.
> On this very rolling portion, keep a close eye on the left shoulder so as not to miss the best section of this mountain pasture route.
> After a nice series of turns, we cross the road several times to go down to La Villette. The last portion before La Villette can be very fast, watch out for walkers and local residents when arriving at the outskirts of La Villette.
> The path passes above La Villette and continues above the road to Rochas.
> Cross the village of Vaujany towards the church via the old village road. 50 m after the cemetery, take the path that goes off to the left (initially tarmacked) to go to Perrier via the Chemin du Reposoir. The path passes under the road.
> At Perrier, after the hairpin bend, take the alley on the left (at Maitreya) and go down to Pourchery.
> After the hairpin bend, take the first small alley on the left and follow the alley until it gives way to a small path. Beware of local residents, this sloping lane passes very close to homes. This fast and technical path takes you “straight” to a quarry on the banks of the Flumet.
> At the road, turn left to join Allemond along Lake Verney.
Arrived at the exit of Vaujany, you can extend your route by going down the “Equilibrium Chimneys of Vaujany". But you will have to climb a good 5 kilometers and 520m of elevation gain to get there.
