La Forêt de l'Ours – n°2 – Vert
This loop of 8 km and 600 m of elevation will take you gently into the particularity of Oisans. Our mountains are cut with a knife and you have chosen the right Trail Station to work on the positive altitude difference.
Route No. 2 from the Oisans Trail Station – Villard Reculas reception base
TECHNICAL INFORMATION

ROUTE
Turn left out of the Villard Reculas Tourist Office towards Huez and then head towards the war memorial. The view over the Romanche Valley and Bourg d'Oisans is worth a photo stop here. You will then take the vertical kilometer on the descent before continuing straight after the wooden footbridge on a path along the mountainside. You will then take the climb towards the Forêt de l'Ours and then the path above the road to find route No. 3. The climb on the very steep ridge offers you a superb view of Allemond and Oz-en-Oisans. The descent then takes you across the La Forêt ski slope, which purists will have difficulty recognizing. Head towards Lac du Langaret, then the descent of the cow path will bring you back to the Tourist Office.
THE “LITTLE EXTRA”: The Bergerie
You will pass just above the Bergerie which welcomes the shepherd and his family for 4 months of the year who come to graze his sheep in the Villard Reculas mountain pastures.
