La grimpée d'Oulles

Le Bourg-d’Oisans
The 7 km of hairpin bends to climb to Oulles are negotiated with great difficulty, but the climb remains pleasant on this little road with very little traffic. This south-facing slope, protected from the wind, is home to Scots pines, giving it a slightly Mediterranean feel.

history
Oulles, the smallest commune in Isère, has only been served by a road cut into the rock since 1963. Located in a site that was until recently inaccessible, this small mountain village facing the Meije and the Écrins massif has retained all its charm.
In the Middle Ages, silver-bearing lead was mined there.
