La montée de l'Alpe d'Huez, la discrète en vélo électrique
Let's take a roundabout way to reach theAlpe d'Huez by Allemond and Lake Verney, passing through the pretty village of Villard-Reculas and its balcony road. Then reach Huez and finally the last legendary bends of the Tour de France.
ROUTE
Exit Bourg d'Oisans towards Grenoble on the D1091, then turn right towards Allemond from Rochetaillée on the D526. Go up to Lake Verney, and take the D44b towards Villard-Reculas, continue to the village of Huez and finally Alpe d'Huez. The official finish of the Tour de France is on Avenue du Rif Nel at the top of the resort.
You can also continue to Lake Besson (5,5 km more and 250 m elevation gain).
Return via the D211 and its 21 bends to Bourg d'Oisans.

Summer market: Alpe d'Huez, Friday morning, in front of the tourist office. Allemond, Monday morning.
