ROUTE
Turn left when leaving the Villard Reculas Tourist Office towards Huez and then take the Chemin de Bourg d'Oisans. A break is required at the war memorial to admire the view of the Bourg d'Oisans plain and the Taillefer in front of you.
The descent to the Romanche plain is via the Vertical Kilometer in reverse on a steep path along the cliff side, be careful.
Crossing the plain allows you to rest your quadriceps. You take the Roman road to return towards Bourg d'Oisans. The Lignarre valley opens its doors to you for the climb towards Le Puy, very intense but short. You find a superb pine forest for the descent towards Le Bourg d'Oisans.
Crossing the town takes you to the other side of the Romanche to allow you to tackle the famous climb of Alpe d'Huez. Be careful, when you arrive at Ribot d'en Haut, turn left towards the famous Pas de la Confession.
