Lac du Pontet
Easy walk to Lac du Pontet which offers a spectacular panorama of the Ecrins peaks.
From the car park at the bottom of Villar d'Arène (1670 m), go up alongside the church, take the street opposite and cross the village to the national road.
Cross the national road then 100 m further up take the path on the left which goes up towards the Saint-Antoine chapel.
At the entrance to the hamlet of Cours, do not take the tarmac road which goes off to the left but continue straight on to cross the hamlet along its entire length.
At the fountain, go up to the left and 20 m further, take the path to the right.
At the end of the hamlet, take the “Cour Rambaude” path which goes up to the left.
Cut across the dirt track coming from the lake car park and take the path opposite to reach Lac du Pontet (1985 m). Go around the lake on the right.
Start the descent on the wide dirt track and then follow the tarmac road for approx. 300 m to the second car park.
Shortly after the car park, take the path on the right to reach Villar d'Arène.
