Le chemin des pêcheurs – balade
The route goes up the Sarenne valley, very close to the torrent of the same name, where fishermen like to settle. The places are charming! A track runs along the path not far away, for those who prefer.
This walk is very easy since you can follow a track the whole way. But the little path that runs along the Sarenne torrent is much more bucolic!
All-terrain stroller accepted!

OBP topo-map n°2 (Oisans au Bout des Pieds) trail 251 +252
ITINERARY :
When arriving in the village of Huez you can park on the right of the road immediately after the first pedestrian crossing or higher up after the second pedestrian crossing. The track starts between the two pedestrian crossings, on the right, or a short steep path opposite the second pedestrian crossing joins it.
Then don’t worry, the route is very simple: it’s straight ahead!
Either you follow the trail quietly to the Gua bridge, or you take advantage of the fishermen's path which winds along the Sarenne torrent.
After about 10 minutes on the track, you will find on your right the start of the path that joins the torrent, the Roman bridge and the old mill of Sarenne. The site has been developed to bear witness to this rural heritage with an explanatory panel.
From there you follow the famous GR 54 which comes from La Garde-en-Oisans and goes back to the col de Sarenne.
The path joins the track a little further on, to go back to the right a little further on, and this several times until the restaurant of Combe Haute. Then follow the track until the bridge of Gua. You are now at the intersection of the paths which arrive from the Col de Cluy and Maronne (Auris) on the right and from Pierre Ronde (Alpe d'Huez) on the left.
If you want to continue straight on the track, you will join the Sarenne road 2 km from the pass of the same name (175 m difference in altitude).
The return is via the same route. Good walk !
