Le plateau du Taillefer et le lac Fourchu (par le Poursollet)
The Taillefer plateau extends its wet meadows over several square kilometers and contains numerous lakes, including the famous Lac Fourchu.
From Alpe-du-Grand-Serre take the D 114E towards "Lac de Poursollet". Park at the level of the Poursollet lake. Take the path on the right along the lake. After passing between the chalets, reach a vast grassy plateau, dominated on the right by the walls of Rocher Culasson. The path gradually steepens to end up on the Taillefer plateau, where the scenery changes abruptly, offering you very beautiful views over the whole of Oisans. Go around the lake on the right along the relief and continue to the Pas de l'Envious, the highest point of the walk from where you can see the Meije and the Aiguilles d'Arves. Then turn left and go back down, skirting the small duck lake. Then follow the edge of the plateau and continue down into the valley carved out by the Rioupéroux stream, then enter the forest. Continue on the track to the Poursollet car park.
The Plateau du Taillefer is a Natura 2000 site, many species of fauna and flora are protected and sensitive there, we must adapt our behavior so that the landscape and biodiversity continue to amaze us:
– I stay on marked trails (paint, signs, etc.). I do not take shortcuts that cause soil erosion, destroy vegetation and disturb wildlife and herds.
– I keep my dog on a leash so as not to disturb wildlife and domestic herds.
– I don’t make fires in the mountains. It destroys the soil for decades.
– I camp outside of wetlands and pitch my tent at suitable times (19 p.m. to 9 a.m.).
– I don’t throw away any trash, and I take it back downstairs.
– I don’t pick flowers. I prefer a lasting memory by taking a photo.
– I am inquiring about private ownership of certain areas.
