Le promontoire de Prégentil
This hike which overlooks the plains of Oisans is like a suspended footbridge between two valleys linking the village to the Prégentil promontory.
After crossing Villard-Reymond and the square at the top of the village, the path rises on the right between the typical farms of Oisans, until reaching the Col Du Solude (1680m).
From the Col, take the direction Col de Saint Jean, Prégentil. Then follow the forest path which climbs gently through the undergrowth, up to the relay, then turn right towards the promontory of Prégentil. The open area looks like a footbridge stretched between the two valleys of the Romanche and the Lignarre. The beautiful stony path rises slowly to the unsuspected meadows of the Col de St-Jean (1842 m).
After the sign, take the path that climbs steeply between the conifers and leads to the ridges. Arriving at Prégentil, the panorama of the surrounding peaks is breathtaking: Belledonne, the Grandes Rousses, the Aiguilles d'Arves, La Meije, the Mont de Lans glacier, the Selle, the Muzelle, the Rochail, the Grand Renaud, the Taillefer, in a dizzying 360°.
The return is made by taking the same path.
