Le refuge Temple Ecrins
The route leads to the Temple Ecrins refuge and offers a magnificent panorama of the legendary Ecrins peaks, a high place for mountaineering.
From the FFCAM and Maison de la Montagne buildings, take the path up along the Vénéon towards the Temple-Écrins refuge (sign). The path gradually climbs along the left bank of the Vénéon for almost 4 kilometers at the bottom of the valley.
Go past the Carrelet refuge and turn left a little later towards the Temple-Écrins refuge (sign). The climb is steep, in the Carrelet woods, with some large stone steps.
Coming out of the forest, on the grassy slopes, the landscape opens up, the refuge is 15 minutes away.
The return takes the same route.
