Le tour des hameaux de La Grave
Discover from La Grave, the hamlets of Terrasses, Chazelet, Clots and Ventelon. The route will take you to discover the Oratory, the perch and the orientation table of Chazelet.
From the Tourist Office of La Grave, go up the whole village towards the church, leave it on the left and continue straight uphill. Take the dirt road towards the Terraces, cut the bends in the road, still following the GR54, to arrive at the famous oratory viewpoint over the massif of the Meije, the perch, a walkway suspended over the void.
Opposite, go up the path which leads first to the orientation table then follow the ridge to the junction.
Then take the path on the right which crosses the southern slope to Les Clots (small tricky passage with cable).
Continue to Ventelon and go back down to La Grave by the path which leaves after the first bend in the road under Ventelon.
