The Lacs des Petites Rousses plateau offers a unique setting between alpine meadows and lakes for the practice of VAE. Offering shared cycling, the “Les Lacs” route is an ideal spot to discover this activity at an altitude of 2000m.
The plateau of the Petites Rousses lakes in Oz-en-Oisans is a little gem. In winter for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice climbing, ski touring and in all seasons for hiking, Nordic walking, and when the weather returns for mountain biking.
On this plateau, the XC11 “Les Lacs” cross-country track, already accessible by E-bike, is now recognized as a flagship route in Isère for the practice of electrically assisted mountain biking.
The 10km of its route accessible by cable car from Oz indeed offers a unique route which plays with the relief along the lakes: Lac Carrelet, Faucille, Besson, Noir.
Benefiting from the resort's facilities, Les Lacs becomes a prime spot for discovering VTTAE in a unique alpine environment at an altitude of 2000.

ROUTE
From Oz-en-Oisans, take the Alpette gondola, reach the departure gate and follow the markings indicating “XC11”. The route starts off on a wide track at the foot of the cliffs then dives towards Lake Besson to join a round-trip path that plays with the terrain, alternating between mountain pastures, rocks and wooden footbridges. Be careful, the path can be technical depending on the passages, there are a multitude of possibilities, stay on the signposted path.
