Les Balcons de l'Oisans – n°1 – Vert
This loop of 5 km and 200 m of altitude difference, without any technical difficulty, will allow you to gently discover the village of Villard Reculas, its nearby spruce forest and its mountain pastures.
You will be amazed by the panorama and the view overlooking the plain of Bourg d'Oisans.
Route No. 1 from the Oisans Trail Station – Villard Reculas reception base
Departure / Arrival: Villard Reculas
Duration: 30 min to 1 hour depending on level

ROUTE
Take the road on the right when leaving the Villard Reculas Tourist Office that goes up to the lift, continue straight between the big fir tree and the mountain to enter the forest. The 4 bends at the end of the forest track allow you to reach the Villard Reculas mountain pastures with a splendid view of the Oisans peaks. You then go back down gently towards Lachal and after crossing the Pas de la Confession road, the return to the village is done by passing near the Chèvre..rie while enjoying the plunging view of the Romanche plain.
THE “LITTLE EXTRA”: The Saracen Canal
The Canal des Sarrasins: A 13 km long water supply canal, designed under Louis XI in the XNUMXth century to bring water from Lac Blanc and create a watering point in the Villard Reculas mountain pastures (Lac du Langaret) by irrigating the pastures and plantations along the way. This is a work of art that is regularly maintained by the municipalities it passes through. A highly recommended stop for a refreshing break but also for the view offered.
